Fascinating Horror (YouTuber Review)

Can I do reviews of YouTube channels? Is that weird? I hope nobody does a review of my channel…

Anyway, Fascinating Horror is a channel I binged recently, and it’s… fascinating.

It’s primarily a channel about documenting disasters and otherwise unfortunate incidents from the past. They’ve covered everything from Jack the Ripper and Dyatlov Pass incident, to more modern events like the Slenderman Stabbings and various theme park disasters.

Mortal Kombat 11 (Game Review)

I’m not a fighting game player by any stretch of the imagination, but Mortal Kombat 11 makes me wish I was.

There’s so much to love about it. The presentation is amazing, the roster is top-tier, and it’s just fun to play. Most important to me, though, is that it has one of the best single-player experiences in a fighting game.

Mortal Kombat (2021) (Movie Review)

I’m glad we’ve reached the point where all video game movies aren’t complete shit.

That’s not to say that Mortal Kombat Twenty Twenty One is a 10/10 or anything, but it’s still a blast. It feels like a genuine love-letter to the franchise. The writing and direction come from a place of respect for the series, not a cynical boardroom writer’s circle.

11/22/63 (Show Review)

I’m a BIG fan of time-travel media. From small-scale stuff like Primer, to huge blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame, I’ll watch nearly any show or movie with time-travel in it. I’m not even sure why, if I’m being honest.

King of the Titans (Movie Review)

King of the Titans is a fan-edit of Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). It was assembled by d3adconnection and the main goal of the cut was to remove a lot of the unnecessary exposition. So how did that turn out?

Mortal Kombat (1995) (Movie Review)

Watching the Mortal Kombat movie recently gave me lethal levels of nostalgia. And I’ve never even seen it before.

It’s a perfect encapsulation of every B-movie from the 90s. Bad acting, writing that swaps from amazing to terrible in the blink of an eye, and beautiful special effects.
